Lockheed Martin has reaffirmed its long-standing partnership with India, following the recent announcement by U.S. President Donald Trump regarding the potential provision of F-35 fighter jets to India.
In a statement, the company highlighted its three-decade association with India, emphasizing its role in building the country’s aerospace and defence ecosystem. Lockheed Martin cited its production programs, including the C-130J transport aircraft, S-92 helicopter cabin, and fighter wings, which are already integrated into the global supply chain.
The defence giant expressed optimism about working closely with both governments on upcoming strategic procurements, including fighter jets, Javelin anti-tank guided missiles, and helicopters. It underscored the importance of modern security solutions and deterrence capabilities for the Indian Armed Forces to address evolving defence requirements.
Lockheed Martin’s statement comes amid strengthening India-U.S. defence ties, with an increasing focus on technology transfers, joint production, and advanced military collaborations.
