India has accomplished something wonderful again. It has successfully test-fired the extended range BrahMos supersonic cruise missile which can target over a 400 km range.
This test was carried out under the PJ-10 project of the Defence Research and Development Organisation and under this, the missile was launched with a built-in booster.
The testing was the 2nd such testfiring of the extended range version of BrahMos supersonic missile. The airframe and boosters of the missile are simply the magnanimous creations of other Indians.
The BrahMos (designated PJ-10) is a medium-range ramjet supersonic cruise missile. It can be launched from ships, aircraft, submarines, or land. Making it the fastest supersonic cruise missile in the world made and tested here in India.
