In a landmark decision, the Indian government has cleared its biggest-ever defence acquisition, approving the procurement of 156 indigenous Light Combat Helicopters (LCH) ‘Prachand’. The decision was taken during a meeting of the Cabinet Committee on Security (CCS), chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
