The Border Security Force (BSF) on Thursday revealed that it shot a Pakistani intruder in Punjab’s Amritsar sector. “The Troops defied the intruder, but he did not halt & proceeded moving ahead…the army personals fired upon the intruder in self-defence, killing the Pak intruder on the spot,” said the officers as per ANI.

The middle-aged man was shot at a forward area in the Amritsar sector when he passed over the border and entered Indian territory on Wednesday evening, they asserted.

As per the official statement submitted by ANI, “BSF troops observed some uncertain activity of a Pakistani intruder ahead of Border fencing who had crossed the border & reached into Indian territory in the Amritsar sector.” The intruder was going inside of the International Border fencing from the Pakistan viewpoint in the area of duty of BSF at Border Outpost in the Amritsar sector.

The border force, in a distinct action undertaken on Wednesday dawn, also shot down a drone near Havelian village in the exact sector. The white quadcopter drone (DJI Phantom 4 model) was neutralised while it was arriving from “Pakistan to India”, a BSF spokesperson said.

However, not only in Punjab Sector but one terrorist was also killed in an encounter with the security forces in Srinagar’s Hazratbal area on Thursday.
