NEW DELHI: The Army is now undertaking a major study, led by a senior Lt-General on advanced “niche and
disruptive warfare technologies,” ranging from drone swarms, robotics, lasers and loiter munitions to artificial intelligence, big data analysis and algorithmic warfare.
Sources On Friday, the aim of the “holistic report,” which comes in the midst of the ongoing military conflict
with China in eastern Ladakh, was to improve the conventional war-fighting capabilities of the 13-lakh strong army and prepare for the “non-kinetic and non-combat” war in the years ahead.
