Gold prices remained largely uniform across most major Indian cities on Tuesday, December 16, with marginal variations seen in select locations due to local levies and logistics costs.

In Mumbai, Kolkata, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Kerala and Pune, 24-carat gold was priced at Rs 13,386 per gram, while 22-carat gold stood at Rs 12,270 per gram. The price of 18-carat gold in these cities was Rs 10,039 per gram.

Chennai continued to trade at a slight premium, with 24-carat gold at Rs 13,473 per gram, 22-carat gold at Rs 12,350, and 18-carat gold at Rs 10,300.

In Delhi, gold prices were marginally higher compared to Mumbai, with 24-carat gold quoted at Rs 13,401 per gram, 22-carat gold at Rs 12,285, and 18-carat gold at Rs 10,054.

Meanwhile, Vadodara and Ahmedabad saw 24-carat gold priced at Rs 13,391 per gram, 22-carat gold at Rs 12,275, and 18-carat gold at Rs 10,044.

Overall, the decline in gold prices was consistent across regions, reflecting broader market trends rather than city-specific factors.
