Oil marketing companies have announced a reduction in the prices of commercial LPG gas cylinders, effective from February 1. The rate of a 19 kg commercial LPG cylinder has been reduced by Rs 7. In Delhi, the new retail price is Rs 1,797, down from the earlier price of Rs 1,804.
This marks the second consecutive monthly reduction in commercial LPG cylinder rates. On January 1, prices were cut by Rs 14.5, bringing the rate down from Rs 1,818.5 to Rs 1,804.
Unchanged domestic LPG cylinder prices
While commercial cylinder prices have been revised, domestic LPG cylinder prices remain unchanged. The prices for a 14 kg domestic LPG cylinder across major cities are as follows:
- Delhi: Rs 803
- Lucknow: Rs 840.50
- Mumbai: Rs 802.50
- Chennai: Rs 818.50
- Kolkata: Rs 829
These stable prices for household cylinders provide continued affordability for domestic consumers, even as commercial rates see reductions.
