Addressing the issue of Coronavirus Pandemic, 14-day home isolation is a compulsory precaution to all the domestic passengers arriving in Mumbai, Brihanmambai Municipal Corporation(BMC) said. the government officials willing for exemption must write to Corporation two working days prior to arrival, the Mumbai civic body further added.
Several times Government official after landing in Mumbai show their government ID card and secure exemption. For exemption,it has to be made in writing to [email protected] atleast two working days before landing giving all the details of the work and justification of their exemption from home quarantine.
The Maharashtra Government had released Standard Operating Procedures for passengers of domestic flights when services resumed after a gap of two month due to nationwide lockdown. According to the guidelines all passengers will be stamped and will have to go to 14-day home isolation. Also a passenger should have Aarogya Setu app in their smartphones and should not belong to contaminated zones.
The State Government appointed the additional municipal commissioners in the state as the nodel officers for the purpose of enforcing the SOP norms and said that every arriving passenger will be required to declare after arrival that he/she has not been affected by COVID-19, neither shown any symptoms of COVID-19 nor resided in any contaminated zone.
Maharashtra total cases now stand at 1,46,268 positive, including 3,05,521 recoveries and 16,476 deaths.
