Indian Airline SpiceJet is converting its commercial flights. The spread of the Novel Corona virus has stopped the operations of Airlines. However, CEO Ajay Singh has transformed the crisis into an opportunity. It has converted three Q400 passenger air crafts into freighters. Cargo will be delivered using these planes . They each have a capacity of 8.5 tons. They will be used in operations in small towns and cities. SpiceJet’s cargo network has now uplifted to over 25 international destinations. These 78 seater planes are now in much more demand.
In current reports it has been stated that SpiceJet posses 8 such cargo planes now. The government has allowed cargo transport all over the country. Capital and mainstream cities have started the service of domestic flights. The Airline had an inclusive of 5 B737 cargo planes. Ajay Singh also stated that this conversion has been nothing but profitable. In this unfortunate time SpiceJet has made more revenue. This was evident as the price of SpiceJet shares increased in the Stock Market.
