SpiceJet acqui-hires ixigo’s airline technology arm Travenues. SpiceJet has acqui-hires Travenues, an airline services firm based in Bengaluru, a subsidiary of Ixigo also an online travel startup that produces airline ecommerce goods.

It may retain Travenues Software Stack and Commerce Platforms specialized in smartphone apps, customer interface. Also cross-selling, interaction, payments and automation. Even then, Ixigo will keep the identity of the brand and the business.

“This acqui-hire will help SpiceJet strengthen its e-commerce platforms as we continue to innovate across multiple technology areas and achieve our vision of becoming a global leader in aviation technology,” said Ashish Vikram, Chief Technology and Innovation Officer at SpiceJet in stated a statement.
