Amid continuing delays at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA) following Thursday’s major technical glitch in the Air Traffic Control (ATC) system, India’s largest carrier IndiGo has issued a travel advisory assuring passengers that recovery operations are underway and flight schedules are being stabilised.
Posting under the hashtag #6ETravelAdvisory, IndiGo confirmed that airport and ATC teams are working on priority to fully restore systems and normalise operations over the next few hours. The airline noted that departure and arrival timings may continue to be adjusted during this transition period.
“Our teams are on-ground and actively assisting customers with updated schedules, onward connections, and real-time information to help make any unavoidable wait more manageable,” IndiGo said in its statement.
The airline also urged passengers flying today to check their latest flight status online via its official link — bit.ly/2EjJGGT — and to allow extra travel time while heading to the airport.
Reiterating its focus on customer care, IndiGo added, “We truly appreciate your patience and understanding. We are here to support you and ensure your journey remains as comfortable and seamless as possible.”
The update follows confirmation from the Airports Authority of India (AAI) that the Automatic Message Switching System (AMSS) glitch has been resolved, with air traffic operations gradually returning to normal across terminals.
