IndiGo has confirmed that its operations have fully stabilised since December 9, 2025, and the airline is steadily adding capacity in line with government guidelines to meet rising passenger demand during the holiday season. The airline is currently operating between 2,100 and 2,200 flights daily and carrying more than one million customers every three days, reflecting a strong recovery and consistent network performance.
The airline is flying to and from all 138 operational destinations across its domestic and international network, while maintaining its established standards of on-time performance. IndiGo said it is fully prepared to cater to the expected surge in travel demand during the ongoing holiday period, supported by stable operations and disciplined capacity deployment.
The aviation sector in recent days faced industry-wide disruptions due to dense fog, especially across northern India. IndiGo acknowledged that it was impacted like other carriers but stated that operations were effectively managed under challenging conditions to maintain overall stability. With weather forecasts indicating a harsher winter ahead, the airline reiterated its commitment to ensuring reliability and minimising disruptions across its network to reduce inconvenience for passengers.
Looking ahead, IndiGo is preparing to induct India’s first Airbus A321XLR, which is expected to redefine medium-to-long haul travel for passengers in India and the surrounding region. The airline plans to deploy this aircraft to connect Delhi and Mumbai with Athens, with services scheduled to begin on January 23, 2026, as previously announced.
