Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSMIA) has scheduled its Annual Comprehensive Post-Monsoon Runway Maintenance on Thursday, 17th October 2024, to ensure safer airside operations. The airport will temporarily suspend runway operations from 1100 hrs to 1700 hrs IST as part of the maintenance plan, affecting both RWY 09/27 and RWY 14/32.

A Notice to Airmen (NOTAM) was issued six months in advance, notifying airlines and stakeholders to synchronize flight schedules accordingly. This planned closure is part of CSMIA’s continued commitment to maintaining world-class operational standards and ensuring passenger safety.

The maintenance aims to carry out essential repairs and upgrades to keep the airport’s infrastructure aligned with global safety standards. CSMIA, one of the busiest single-runway airports in the world, prioritizes safety, efficiency, and operational continuity, coordinating closely with stakeholders to minimize any disruptions during the maintenance window.
