Air India Express aircraft from Dubai to Kozhikode crashed with 191 onboard while overshooting the runway and went into the valley after landing at Karipur Airport. According to Intial reports two people including pilot,have lost their lives. National Disaster Responce Force(NDRF) teams, Fire tender, ambulances frequently reached the spot and DG SN Pradhan expained that all passengers have suffered injuries, some are uncoscious.
According to the initial reports, the pilot of the aircraft- Deepak Vasant Sathe died in the casualities and are believed that co-pilot is in critical condition. The Impact was such a huge that cockpit and front door of the flight were completely damaged. Rajeev Jain, Additional DG Media, Civil Aviation Ministry said that no fire was reported at the time of landing. ” There are 174 passengers,10 infants, 2 pilots and 5 cabin crew onboard the aircraft. As per the initial reports, rescue operation are going on and passengers are being taken to the hospital,” he said.
