Volvo is preparing to launch the ES90, its first all-electric luxury saloon, in early 2025. Designed to compete with models like the BMW i5 and Mercedes-Benz EQE, the ES90 will be revealed in March at an event in Stockholm, Sweden.

Key Features of the Volvo ES90

The ES90 will closely resemble the current S90 sedan, with design cues inspired by the EX90, including the signature Thor’s hammer headlights, closed-off grille, and sleek rear lights. Measuring 4,999mm in length, the ES90 will be slightly longer than the S90 and will offer an impressive 3,100mm wheelbase, enhancing cabin space and comfort.

Built with a focus on the Chinese market, the ES90 will be produced in China but will be available globally. It will offer a choice of single-motor rear-wheel drive or dual-motor all-wheel drive configurations. The single-motor model will feature a 111kWh battery, offering up to 600km of range on a single charge.

Power outputs will mirror those of the EX90: the all-wheel-drive version will come with 402hp as standard, with a 502hp Performance variant for enthusiasts.
