Volkswagen India has unveiled a fascinating new addition to its lineup: the Taigun GT Line and Taigun GT Plus Sport models, which are part of the new ‘Sport’ line design. These cars, which were displayed at the Volkswagen Annual Brand Conference 2024 in March, aim to add a new degree of power to the Taigun lineup.
Talking about exterior modifications, the SUV receives trendy dark chrome door handles, red-painted GT emblems and brake callipers, tinted LED headlights and a Carbon Steel Grey roof.
These SUVs, which are equipped with newly designed 17-inch alloy wheels, have a dynamic look that is highlighted by black-finished elements.
Furthermore, the Sport steering wheel has red stitching for a stylish touch. The blacked-out grab handles, sun visors and roof lamp housing complete the appearance.
A powerful 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine with 148 bhp and 250 Nm of torque powers the Taigun GT Plus Sport, while a lively 1.0-liter TSI engine with 113 bhp and 178 Nm of torque powers the Taigun GT Line. A 6-speed manual gearbox is standard on both versions, although an automatic gearbox is also available (6-speed torque converter for the 1.0 TSI and 7-speed DSG for the 1.5 EVO).
