For its Taigun midsize SUV and Virtus midsize sedan, Volkswagen has introduced a new special edition model priced at Rs 14.08 lakh-15.63 lakh and Rs 13.57 lakh-14.87 lakh, respectively. In addition to celebrating the Onam festival, the special edition’s release marks the opening of six new touchpoints in the state of Kerala. The Taigun and Virtus Onam Edition are limited-run variants that get external and feature updates.
The Onam Editions will be limited to 100 units each and offered only in Kerala. Both variants receive an all-black exterior and interior, with black touches added to the chrome parts, such as the grille. In addition, the vehicles are equipped with puddle lamps, a dual tone horn, front parking sensors and a TSI badge on the front fender.
Volkswagen stated that the Taigun Onam Edition model shares the same safety pack and features as the higher-spec GT Line variant. Highlights feature a 10-inch infotainment touchscreen, an 8-inch digital driver display, ventilated front seats, automated temperature control, a powered sunroof and black 17-inch “Cassino” alloy wheels. The interior and exterior are all black. Except for the sunroof, the Virtus Onam, which is based on the Highline model, has almost all of the same features as the Taigun Onam.
