VinFast, the Vietnamese electric vehicle (EV) manufacturer, has officially entered the Indian market by unveiling its VF6 crossover and VF7 compact SUV. These models mark the automaker’s first venture into India, showcasing its commitment to becoming a significant player in the country’s rapidly growing EV sector. However, the company has not yet disclosed the exact launch timeline for these vehicles.
India is now the 13th market for VinFast, which already operates across 12 countries and three continents. The introduction of the VF6 and VF7 aligns with India’s goals to reduce vehicular emissions and transition to sustainable mobility solutions. VinFast aims to capitalize on this momentum by offering innovative and eco-friendly vehicles tailored to Indian consumers.
The VF6, a small electric crossover, boasts a range of up to 399 km per charge, making it ideal for urban and intercity travel. Meanwhile, the VF7 compact SUV offers a stylish design with advanced technology, catering to a broader audience seeking sustainable and premium mobility solutions.
VinFast’s global lineup also includes the VF e34 compact electric SUV (285 km range), VF 5 Plus subcompact SUV (300 km range), VF 8 mid-size SUV (471 km range), and the VF 9 luxury full-size SUV (580 km range). This diverse range highlights the brand’s ambition to cater to varied market needs while establishing itself as a leader in the EV segment.
