TVS Motor Company has recently introduced a new entry-level Raider version. As a cost-cutting move, the Raider now comes with drum brakes on both ends, but it remains identical in every other aspect. The new model is priced at Rs 84,869 (ex-showroom).
The Raider Drum model comes in two colour schemes: Wicked Black and Striking Red, and it has a single-piece seat. The motorbike also comes equipped with an LED headlight and LCD cluster. The Raider additionally features a TFT display with TVS’s “SmartXonnect” technology in the higher-spec variants.
The Raider 125 features a 124.8 cc single-cylinder engine that produces 11.2 bhp at 7,500 rpm and 11.2 Nm of peak torque at 6,000 rpm. The engine is mated with a five-speed transmission. The motorbike has two riding modes: Eco and Power, with Power mode said to provide 10% more power at the top-end.
