TVS Motor Company recorded a sales growth of 17% in May 2025 compared to the same month last year. Total sales increased from 369,914 units in May 2024 to 431,275 units in May 2025.
Two-Wheeler Segment Performance
The two-wheeler segment saw a 16% growth, with sales rising from 359,590 units in May 2024 to 416,166 units in May 2025. Domestic two-wheeler sales grew by 14%, increasing from 271,140 units to 309,287 units over the same period.
Within the two-wheeler category:

Motorcycles experienced a 22% sales growth, moving from 173,627 units to 211,505 units. 
- 
Scooter sales grew by 15%, increasing from 145,305 units to 166,749 units. 
Electric Vehicle Sales
Electric vehicle (EV) sales saw a significant increase of 50%, rising from 18,674 units in May 2024 to 27,976 units in May 2025. Despite this growth, challenges related to supply chain disruptions, especially concerning magnet availability, are expected to impact the EV segment in the short to medium term.
International Business and Exports
TVS Motor Company’s exports grew by 22%, increasing from 96,966 units in May 2024 to 118,437 units in May 2025. Two-wheeler exports rose by 21%, from 88,450 units to 106,879 units.
Three-Wheeler Segment Growth
The three-wheeler segment showed strong growth of 46%, with sales increasing from 10,324 units to 15,109 units. Additionally, three-wheeler EV sales were recorded at 1,829 units in May 2025.
