TVS Motor Company, an Indian two-wheeler manufacturer, has announced the start of operations in Italy, marking a step in its worldwide expansion plan. The company intends to launch a range of internal combustion engines (ICE), as well as electric scooters and motorcycles, on the Italian market.
Currently, TVS Motor markets its products in 80 nations. TVS Motor Italia, which is led by Giovanni Notarbartolo di Furnari, manages the company’s expansion in Italy.
“Our entry into Italy is a strategic step towards our global ambitions,” said TVS Motor Company President and Head of Group Strategy Sharad Mohan Mishra, emphasizing the strategic significance of this step.
Director of TVS Motor Italia Giovanni Notarbartolo di Furnari expressed faith in the company’s long-term plan for the Italian market. He said, “By establishing a branch office and offering a broad suite of products, both ICE and electric, TVS Motor underlines its confidence and long-term strategy for the Italian market.” The company’s focus will be on two key pillars: product quality and client satisfaction, he said.
TVS Motor Company expanded the number of electric vehicles it offered in India by launching two more iQube scooter models. These include a 2.2 kWh version and a 3.4 kWh iQube ST model. The entry-level option with a 2.2 kWh battery pack starts at Rs. 94,999, while the 3.4 kWh TV iQube ST costs ₹1.55 lakh.
