TVS Motor Company has announced impressive sales figures for January 2025, marking a 17% year-on-year growth. The company sold 397,623 units in January 2025, compared to 339,513 units in the same month last year. This growth reflects a robust demand for their range of two-wheelers, electric vehicles, and three-wheelers.
Two-Wheeler Sales Surge by 18%
The total sales of two-wheelers saw an 18% increase, rising from 329,937 units in January 2024 to 387,671 units in January 2025. Domestic two-wheeler sales grew by 10%, reaching 293,860 units, up from 268,233 units last year. Notably, motorcycle sales surged by 12%, increasing from 155,611 units to 174,388 units. The scooter segment saw the highest growth, with sales up by 29%, from 132,290 units in January 2024 to 171,111 units in January 2025.
Electric Vehicle Sales Soar
TVS Motor Company’s electric vehicle (EV) sales also saw a remarkable boost of 55%. EV sales grew from 16,276 units in January 2024 to 25,195 units in January 2025, highlighting the increasing adoption of environmentally friendly mobility solutions.
International Business Shows Impressive Growth
TVS Motor’s international business continued to thrive, with total exports increasing by 46%. Exports grew from 69,343 units in January 2024 to 101,055 units in January 2025. The company’s two-wheeler exports recorded a significant 52% growth, rising from 61,704 units to 93,811 units.
Three-Wheeler Segment Registers Modest Growth
The three-wheeler segment also posted positive results, with a 4% growth in sales, increasing from 9,576 units in January 2024 to 9,952 units in January 2025.
