This festive season, Triumph Motorcycles India may add two new 400 cc bikes to its inventory. Triumph and its Indian partner, Bajaj Auto, are preparing to introduce two new models built on the 400 cc platform in the upcoming weeks, according to a Moneycontrol report. With the release of the Speed 400 and Scrambler 400 X models last year, Triumph entered the 400cc market. The long-rumoured Thruxton 400 and another variant might be the next offering.
Rajiv Bajaj, Managing Director of Bajaj Auto, confirmed the debut of the latest Triumph 400cc motorbike earlier this year. According to the report, by October, the company will have stabilized production of the Speed and Scrambler 400s to 10,000 units per month, clearing the way for its anticipated new models. Notably, Triumph has scheduled the arrival of the new Daytona 660 in India for debut within the next few weeks.
Both the Triumph Speed 400 and the Scrambler 400 X have proven to be successful models, selling well both domestically and internationally in European markets. The Thruxton 400, a cafe-racer-styled motorbike built on the Speed 400 platform, is presently anticipated to be released by the manufacturer. The bike was previously seen testing with a Thruxton R-inspired Monza fairing, clip-on handlebars and a flat pillion grab rail.
