Triumph India recently introduced the new Speed T4 at Rs 2.17 lakh (ex-showroom). The Speed T4 will be offered in India in three colours: white, red and black. The company sees this model as a successor to the Speed 400.

New Triumph Speed T4 features

Triumph has made no modifications to the chassis. However, the bike now has standard conventional forks up front, instead of upside-down forks. The bike has 17-inch wheels that come with Apollo Alpha H1 or MRF Steel Brace tyres, depending on the lot.

The bike features a 399cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that produces 36Nm at 5000 rpm and 30.6 bhp at 7000 rpm. According to the company, 2500rpm provides 85% of the torque. This motor is mated to a six-speed gearbox.

Other features of the bike include 43 mm telescopic forks, 17-inch alloy wheels, a semi-digital instrument dashboard, monoshock in the back and all-LED lighting. Dual-channel ABS disc brakes with a 300 mm front and 230 mm rear provide excellent braking performance.
