The Toyota Urban Cruiser EV, based on the Maruti Suzuki eVX concept, has made its much-anticipated debut at the Auto Expo 2025 in India. Set to go on sale in Europe later this year, the Urban Cruiser EV is poised to offer a Toyota-branded alternative to the Maruti e Vitara.

Toyota Urban Cruiser EV features

This electric SUV combines bold design with cutting-edge features. Measuring 4,285 mm in length, 1,800 mm in width, 1,640 mm in height, and with a wheelbase of 2,700 mm, it boasts a spacious and commanding road presence. The exterior silhouette shares similarities with the Suzuki e-Vitara but features unique styling cues to distinguish it under the Toyota badge.

Inside, the Urban Cruiser EV exudes modernity with a black and grey interior theme. The cabin prioritizes versatility, offering rear seats with a sliding function and a 40:20:40 split. A 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster and a 10.1-inch multimedia touchscreen with smartphone integration enhance the user experience.

Toyota will offer the Urban Cruiser EV in front-wheel drive (FWD) and all-wheel drive (AWD) configurations. The FWD variant will come with a choice of two battery options: a 49 kWh pack producing 106 kW (144 hp) and a 61 kWh pack generating 128 kW (174 hp). The AWD variant retains the 61 kWh battery but increases output to 135 kW (184 hp). Torque figures range from 189 Nm for FWD models to an impressive 300 Nm for the AWD version.
