Toyota has unveiled the latest iteration of its iconic Camry sedan in India, priced at Rs 48 lakh (ex-showroom). The ninth-generation Camry is essentially a refreshed version of the previous model, featuring significant design updates while retaining the same platform.
The exterior of the new Camry sports a sleek, modern look with angular headlamps and boomerang-style DRLs. The air vents and air dam have been redesigned, giving the front a more streamlined appearance. The rear features new tail lamps, while the overall silhouette maintains the same dimensions as the outgoing model, measuring 4920 mm in length, 1840 mm in width, and 1455 mm in height.
Inside, the Camry boasts a premium feel with a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a fully digital instrument cluster, and a nine-speaker JBL audio system. It also comes with advanced features like three-zone climate control, wireless phone charging, a head-up display, and a reclining rear seat. Toyota has integrated Level 2 ADAS (Toyota Safety Sense 3.0) for enhanced safety, which includes nine airbags and a 360-degree camera.
Under the hood, the new Camry continues with the 2.5-litre hybrid powertrain, delivering a combined power output of 227 bhp and 220 Nm of torque, paired with an eCVT gearbox. This powertrain provides improved performance, with an increase of 12 bhp over the previous model.
