Tata Motors is set to launch the highly anticipated Sierra EV in India next year. The Sierra EV will be based on Tata’s new-generation EV platform and is expected to offer a front-wheel drive (FWD) layout with two battery pack options, similar to the Curvv.ev.
A leaked image of the production-ready Sierra EV shows a design close to its concept, featuring a thick B-pillar and blacked-out C-pillar for a floating roof effect. The vehicle’s side profile also displays ‘.ev’ badging, confirming its electric identity. The presence of a Tata Nexon in the background suggests the SUV is close to its production form.
Although Tata has kept specifications under wraps, the Sierra EV is expected to feature a front-wheel-drive (FWD) layout and offer two battery options, similar to the Curvv EV. Built on Tata’s next-gen EV platform, the Sierra EV promises to deliver an innovative electric driving experience. The ICE version will be powered by a 2.0-litre diesel engine, similar to that in the Harrier and Safari.
