The Punch, Tata Motors’ most affordable SUV, has surpassed the four lakh sales mark, the company stated. After being on sale in October 2021, the Tata Punch reached a historic sales milestone in just 34 months. In recent years, the Punch has been one of the best-selling cars in the nation as well as one of Tata’s.
Just ten months after its October 2021 introduction, in August 2022, the Punch achieved its first one lakh sales milestone.
For the automaker, the model proved to be an instant hit and sales kept rising, reaching the two lakh sales milestone in May 2023. December 2023 saw the next one lakh sales happen in just seven months, but it has taken seven more months to reach the 400,000 sales milestone.
Chief Commercial Officer of Tata Passenger Electric Mobility, Vivek Srivatsa, commented on the achievement, saying, “Tata Motors has always been known for its deep understanding of the Indian consumer. This attribute enables us to create disruptive yet highly functional products.”
