Tata Motors has updated its legendary SUV, the Tata Sierra, in an ICE (Internal Combustion Engine) avatar at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025. Drawing inspiration from its iconic 1990s predecessor, the new Sierra seamlessly blends nostalgia with Tata’s modern design philosophy, seen in models like the Harrier and Safari.
Tata Sierra ICE features
The 2025 Tata Sierra retains its signature silhouette, complete with large alpine windows reminiscent of the original. Up front, it features connected LED DRLs and bumper-integrated headlights, while the rear showcases trendy connected LED tail lights. Side highlights include flush-type door handles, adding a contemporary touch to the SUV’s classic appeal.
Inside, the concept offers a triple-screen dashboard layout and a unique 4-spoke steering wheel with an illuminated Tata logo. The Sierra caters to varying customer needs with both 4- and 5-seat configurations. Premium features include a panoramic sunroof, ventilated front seats, wireless charging, and a premium sound system. Safety is prioritized with six airbags, electronic stability control (ESC), a 360-degree camera, and advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS).
Under the hood, the Tata Sierra ICE comes with two powertrain options: a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine producing 170 PS and 280 Nm of torque and a 2.0-litre diesel engine delivering 170 PS and 350 Nm. Transmission choices include a 6-speed manual, a 7-speed DCT for petrol, and a 6-speed automatic for diesel.
