Tata Motors has officially announced that the upcoming Curvv midsize SUV will be available with both internal combustion engine (ICE) and electric powertrains. However, recent concept sketches suggest that the vehicle might also offer a compressed natural gas (CNG) option. These sketches reveal a climate control panel on the dashboard featuring a CNG button, among other intriguing features. Although not yet confirmed, the likelihood of the CNG kit and associated features being included in the production model is high, considering that the sketches were provided by Tata Motors themselves.

The Curvv is expected to feature Tata Motors’ innovative twin-cylinder technology for CNG tanks, which helps optimize boot space. This technology has already been patented by Tata Motors and was first introduced in the Altroz CNG model. It has also been confirmed to be utilized in the upcoming CNG variants of the Tiago and Tigor. Additionally, the Punch CNG showcased at the 2023 Auto Expo will be equipped with a split CNG tank, and there are possibilities that the forthcoming Nexon facelift, sharing many technical components with the Curvv, will also offer a factory-fitted CNG kit with the twin-cylinder configuration.

Please note that the information provided above is based on concept sketches and industry speculation and should be treated as such until further official confirmation from Tata Motors.
