The Tata Altroz Racer will be launched this month to compete with the Hyundai i20 N Line, which has a more powerful turbo-petrol engine and sportier appearance. Ahead of its introduction, the manufacturer has opened its order books. If you’re considering booking one, here’s everything you should know about the Altroz Racer.

Tata Altroz Racer Features

Tata is unlikely to change the shape or appearance of its premium hatchback under the ‘Racer’ moniker but will add certain styling elements to make it look sportier than the standard Tata Altroz. These modifications include a modified grille and dual-tip exhaust based on test mule sightings so far. It additionally features two white stripes extending from the hood to the end of the roof. It even has a ‘Racer’  badge on its front fenders.

The company will provide more features for the Altroz Racer than for the standard Altroz. These include a new 7-inch completely digital driver’s display,  ventilated front seats, a bigger 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay and a heads-up display. Six airbags and a 360-degree camera will also be included in the Altroz “Racer” model.

Tata Altroz Racer is expected to be powered by a 1.2-litre Revortron turbo-petrol engine paired with a six-speed manual transmission. This motor is configured to produce 118bhp and 170Nm of torque.

Tata Altroz Racer expected price

It is anticipated that the Tata Altroz Racer will cost Rs 10 lakh (ex-showroom).
