Suzuki has announced a new Heritage Edition of the Jimny in Australia, and just 500 units will be available. What separates this model is that it is now based on the 5-door variant, which is also on sale in the Indian market. In Australia, the 5-door Jimny is known as Jimny XL.
Suzuki has already introduced the Heritage Edition of the Jimny. In 2023, the company introduced the Heritage Edition for the 3-door Jimny, which was limited to just 300 vehicles. And in only two days, it sold out.
Suzuki has modified the Jimny Heritage Edition’s appearance. Along with new decals on the sides and back, it also has red mudflaps finished on both the front and back. Aside from that, the 4×4 SUV will include a unique cargo tray. Suzuki will offer the Jimny Heritage Edition in five colour options: White, Chiffon Ivory + Bluish Black Pearl, Jungle Green, Bluish Black Pearl and Granite Grey Metallic.
The Heritage Edition celebrates Jimny’s vibrant 4×4 history from the 1970s, 1980s and 1990s. The SUV is powered by a 1.2-litre K-Series petrol engine that produces 99 bhp of maximum power and 130 Nm of peak torque. It comes with only a 5-speed manual transmission. However, a 4-speed torque converter automatic transmission is also available for the Jimny standard version. Suzuki includes its AllGrip 4×4 system as standard on the Jimny.
