The Skoda Kylaq was recently seen on the roads of Pune, India. The Czech automaker unveiled the name of its next subcompact SUV. Previously, the manufacturer has revealed many teaser photographs of the Kylaq as well. The video confirms some of the Kylaq’s most important features.

The forthcoming model appears to have roof rails, a shark-fin antenna and a single-pane sunroof. There’s also paint on the exposed roof that appears to be reddish-orange shade of paint. If you look closely, the rear lights feature a sharp, angled style similar to the Kylaq siblings.

The Kylaq will include DRLs and a split LED headlight as standard. With a few small modifications, the iconic Skoda grille will be located on the front face. LED taillight units will be offered for the SUV’s back, as shown in the teaser.

The 1.0-litre TSI gasoline engine available on the Kushaq may also be offered on the Kylaq. A 6-speed torque converter and a 6-speed manual are possible gearbox options. At present, this engine produces 113 bhp and a maximum torque of 178 Nm. The driving features and performance of the Kylaq may be similar to those of its sister Kushaq if they were equipped with similar specs.
