Skoda Auto India will reopen bookings for the Classic variant of its latest sub-4m SUV, the Kylaq, on January 27, 2025. The carmaker had previously halted orders for the base variant due to overwhelming demand, with 10,000 bookings received within 10 days of its December 2024 launch. Deliveries for the Kylaq are set to begin on January 27, and customers can also experience test drives starting the same day.

Kylaq Classic Variant Features

The Classic trim of the Kylaq offers a host of essential features, including LED headlamps and taillamps, 6 airbags, ESC, ISOFIX child seat mounts, and rear parking sensors. However, premium features such as a touchscreen infotainment system, automatic climate control, wireless phone charger, and electric sunroof are available only on higher-spec variants. The Kylaq Classic is priced at an affordable ₹7.89 lakh (ex-showroom).

Performance and Powertrain

The Kylaq is powered by a 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine delivering 114 bhp and 178 Nm of peak torque. The Classic variant is exclusively available with a six-speed manual transmission, while higher variants offer an optional 6-speed automatic torque converter for enhanced driving convenience.
