The latest sales data reveals an impressive 19% increase in total motorcycle sales compared to the same month last year. The breakdown of sales by engine capacity highlights the following trends:
- Models with engine capacity up to 350cc: Sales surged by 17%, reaching 77,775 units in February 2025, compared to 66,229 units in February 2024.
- Models exceeding 350cc: This segment experienced even stronger growth, with a 33% increase, totaling 12,895 units in February 2025, up from 9,706 units the previous year.
- Total motorcycle sales: A 19% year-over-year increase, reaching 90,670 units in February 2025, compared to 75,935 units in February 2024.
Year-to-Date Performance: April 2024 to February 2025
Analyzing the sales figures over the past 11 months shows a positive trajectory:
- Models up to 350cc: Sales reached 7,81,355 units, a 4.8% growth compared to 7,45,796 units in the previous period.
- Models exceeding 350cc: A significant 40% increase, with 1,27,524 units sold, up from 91,385 units.
- Total sales: A 9% year-over-year growth, with 9,08,879 units sold, compared to 8,37,181 units in the previous year.
International Business Business Growth
Eicher Motors’ international business segment has also witnessed remarkable growth. The company exported 9,871 units in February 2025, compared to 8,013 units in February 2024, reflecting a 23% YoY increase. The YTD export sales stand at 94,172 units, a significant 38% increase from the 68,430 units sold in the previous fiscal year.
