In its first week of launch, Revolt Motors’ electric motorcycle, the RV1, has garnered a substantial amount of interest, with over 16,000 bookings made. The Revolt RV1, which is claimed to be the first electric motorbike for commuters in India, was introduced on September 17 by Minister of Road Transport & Highways Nitin Gadkari. There are two versions available, with the RV1 starting at ₹84,990 (ex-showroom) and RV1+ at ₹99,990 (ex-showroom).
Revolt RV1 and RV1+ features
There are two battery choices available for the Revolt RV1, with the standard model’s 2.2 kWh battery having a claimed range of 100 km. Both battery options are claimed to be qualified for IP67 water resistance and the 3.24 kWh battery in the RV1+ variant is said to provide 160 km of range on a single charge. The e-motorcycle is powered by a 2.8 kW mid-motor and a chain drive system, with Revolt claiming a payload capacity of 250 kg.
The rider receives a six-inch digital LCD instrument cluster together with LED units for the headlights, taillights and license plate on the Revolt RV1. In addition, the e-motorcycle has a reverse mode, multiple speed modes and dual disc brakes.
The RV1 is equipped with twin shockers at the back and telescopic forks up front. The e-bike can charge from zero to eighty percent in two hours and fifteen minutes
