Ola Electric, India’s largest pure-play electric vehicle (EV) manufacturer, has received certification for compliance under the Production Linked Incentive (PLI) scheme for automobiles and auto components. The certification, granted by the Automotive Research Association of India (ARAI) under the Ministry of Heavy Industries, covers the company’s entire Gen 3 scooter portfolio.
With this milestone, both Ola’s Gen 2 and Gen 3 scooters now stand PLI-certified, making the company eligible for incentives of 13% to 18% of the determined sales value (DSV) until 2028. The Gen 3 range—comprising S1 Pro 3 kWh, S1 Pro 4 kWh, S1 Pro+ 4 kWh, S1 X 2 kWh, S1 X 3 kWh, S1 X 4 kWh and S1 X+ 4 kWh—accounts for the majority of Ola Electric’s current sales. The company expects this certification to boost profitability from Q2 FY26 onwards.
At its annual ‘Sankalp’ 2025 event, Ola Electric also expanded its EV lineup with the launch of:
-
S1 Pro Sport (5.2 kWh and 4 kWh variants)
-
S1 Pro+ 5.2 kWh
-
Roadster X+ 9.1 kWh, powered by the 4680 Bharat Cell
Introductory prices are set at ₹1,49,999, ₹1,69,999 and ₹1,89,999 respectively. Deliveries of the S1 Pro Sport are scheduled to begin in January 2026, while the S1 Pro+ 5.2 kWh and Roadster X+ 9.1 kWh will be available from Navratri 2025.
