The Roadster X lineup offers different battery capacities, impacting range and top speed. The base variant with a 2.5kWh battery claims a 117km range and a top speed of 105kmph, while the top-end Roadster X+ with a 9.1kWh battery boasts an impressive 501km range and 125kmph top speed. The standard models come with a 7kW motor, whereas the X+ variants get an 11kW motor for enhanced performance.
Ola has integrated several innovations from its S1 Gen 3 lineup, including a mid-mounted motor with a chain drive, a flat cable wiring system for better efficiency, and future-ready battery support for 4680 Bharat Cells. The X+ model already features these advanced cells, contributing to its remarkable range.
Built on a robust dual-cradle frame, the Roadster X features a telescopic front fork and twin rear shock absorbers for a balanced ride. It rides on 17-inch alloy wheels, with braking managed by a front disc and rear drum setup, along with a single-channel ABS and a break-by-wire system. The 180mm ground clearance ensures versatility across urban and semi-urban terrains.
In terms of technology, the bike comes with a 4.3-inch segmented LCD display that provides essential ride information, smartphone connectivity, navigation, cruise control, and even a reverse mode. Ola has announced that deliveries will begin in March 2025, positioning the Roadster X against rivals like the Oben Rorr, Revolt RV400, and Tork Kratos. This launch marks a significant step for Ola in the electric bike segment, promising high performance and cutting-edge features at competitive pricing.
