Bhavish Aggarwal, the CMD and co-founder of Ola Electric, recently shared a photograph on the social media site X, formerly known as Twitter, showcasing what appears to be a fixed battery.
While the company’s electric scooters also have a fixed battery pack, this one looks to be bigger and will most likely be used on the brand’s future electric motorbike. Ola Electric showcased its e-motorcycle line last year with four designs, with the production version set to appear next year.
Although Aggarwal’s post reads, “Working on something,” the EV player may give more specifics in the following weeks. Ola Electric has made important announcements on August 15 for the past three years and it is expected to do so again this year. However, no official announcement has been made yet.
At the debut of the concept motorbikes, Ola Electric claimed that their e-bikes would feature the biggest battery packs ever seen on a two-wheeler in India. Currently, the Ultraviolette F77 has the biggest battery pack, at 10.5 kWh. However, a compact battery pack would result in a lower total kerb weight and better weight distribution across the electric motorbike.
