Ola Electric, India’s top electric two-wheeler manufacturer, has reached a significant milestone by becoming the first EV maker in the country to sell 4 lakh units in a single calendar year.

As per Vahan data (December 15, 2024), Ola Electric’s retail sales have crossed 4,00,099 units, marking a remarkable 50% year-on-year growth compared to 2023. This achievement follows the company’s 3 lakh units milestone in September, coinciding with World EV Day.

Since its launch in December 2021, Ola Electric has sold over 7.77 lakh units, the highest for any e2W OEM in India. The company’s cumulative sales represent a 30% market share of the 2.62 million e-two-wheelers sold in India by mid-December 2024. In 2023, Ola sold 2,67,378 units, posting a 144% year-on-year growth, well ahead of competitors like TVS Motor Co.

Ola Electric’s dominance in the Indian e-two-wheeler market is clear, holding a 36% market share as of December 2024. Its closest rivals include TVS Motor Co. with a 19% share, Bajaj Auto at 17%, and Ather Energy with 11%.
