Okaya EV has recently announced the launch of a new brand, Ferrato, which will sell premium electric two-wheelers. On May 2, a brand-new electric motorbike will make its debut under the Ferrato. According to the manufacturer, pre-bookings are now being accepted for a token amount of ₹500, however, this offer is only available to the first 1,000 customers. The advance payment amount will thereafter rise to ₹2,500.

The brand’s ‘Disruptor’ electric motorbike will feature a 6.4 kW Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor (PMSM) that can provide 228 Nm of torque. According to Ferrato, this motorbike can reach a peak speed of 95 kmph. The 3.97 kWh battery pack has a riding range of 129 km on a single charge, which should be a lot for everyday city rides.

Okaya EV is expanding its product range with the introduction of the Motofaast scooter. The Motofaast, which costs ₹1,36,999 ex-showroom, has an electric motor with a 2300 W peak power output. It has three riding modes: Eco, City and Sports, with a maximum speed of 70 kmph.

As Ferrato prepares to enter the Indian EV market, Okaya EV has disclosed goals to establish exclusive service centres for the Ferrato sub-brand rather than using its existing network. Furthermore, Okaya EV plans to set up more than 100 dealerships for Ferrato around the country.
