Nissan Motor India recently confirmed that bookings for the X-Trail will start on July 26. The booking amount is Rs 1 lakh, with delivery starting in August. The brand already has 150 X-Trails ready to ship to customers. The X-Trail will be the premier SUV in the Indian market.
Nissan X-Trail enters India through the CBU route. It will be available in three colours: diamond black, champagne silver and pearl white. It will include 20-inch alloy wheels as standard.
Nissan X-Trail features
The Nissan X-Trail comes with cruise control, a speed limiter, an electronic parking brake with auto-hold, a 360-degree camera, dual-pane panoramic sunroof and LED headlights with DRLs.
Only a 1.5-litre petrol engine is available in the X-Trail in India. It is a three-cylinder engine with a turbocharger and variable compression. Its maximum power output is 160 bhp and its maximum torque is 300 Nm. There is an automated CVT gearbox on duty. Three driving modes, ECO, Standard and Sport, as well as paddle shifters are included.
To help with fuel efficiency, there is an auto start/stop system and a 12V mild hybrid system. In India, the brand does not provide all-wheel drive.
Despite having three cylinders, there are no vibrations. It accelerates smoothly and in a very linear manner. The steering weight and throttle responsiveness are changed by the driving modes.
