The growing Chinese market has inspired Nissan Motor’s chief executive to make a statement via video link at a press conference on the sidelines of the Beijing auto show from Japan that he has planned to launch a slew of new vehicles over the next five years, including electric cars, in China.

The struggling Japanese automaker CEO made this remark at the time when investors express deepening concern about the future of Nissan, which has warned of a record $4.5 billion loss this year as the pandemic hampers its turnaround efforts.

Many see this as a helping move which can help the automaker to return to profit.
