TVS has teased on social media that a forthcoming TVS Apache RTR variant may be arriving soon. The surrounding body lines of the TVS stallion symbol on the tank are remarkably similar to those of the Apache RTR 200 4V, even though the teaser just displays a close-up of the badge.
As a result, this might be an updated version of the RTR 200 with a somewhat more powerful engine tune. If that’s the case, we expect TVS to include some extra features such as a quick-shifter and traction control. All of these might give the RTR 200 new life until it receives a full upgrade. On that topic, it’s quite doubtful that TVS would give it a 6-speed transmission unless the engine is fully changed.
Currently, the Yamaha MT-15, KTM Duke 200 and Bajaj NS200 are competitors of the TVS Apache RTR 200 4V. A performance boost may give this new Apache a stronger advantage over its competitors. The current ex-showroom pricing of the Apache RTR 200 4V is Rs 1,47,820 (ex-showroom). The updated version might be available in a couple of weeks for a slightly higher price.
