The MG Astor SUV, also known as the MG ZS abroad, will get a generational upgrade. Leaked patent photos reveal that the new MG Astor will have a new design language.
The SUV has a modified headlight design, a sportier-looking bumper and a new grille on the front facia. The modified Astor has a nose that is more boxy and a somewhat longer bonnet than the present model. The grille and bumper design appear to be influenced by the MG3 hatchback.

Moving to the sides, the mid-size SUV has new alloy wheels and updated shoulder line that curves upwards on the rear door. The glass area appears a bit bigger than before. The Astor receives conventional door handles and lane-watch cameras installed on the ORVMs.
The wraparound tail lights at the back have also been modified. The tailgate and rear bumper have been redesigned and the registration plate may be moved from the latter to the former.
Regarding the release of the next-generation Astor, MG Motor has not released any official details. It is anticipated that the upgraded SUV would launch globally around the end of next year. An Indian launch is expected to happen in 2026.
