The eagerly awaited next-generation Skoda Kodiaq, which made its global debut last year, is officially set to launch in India by May 2025. Skoda Auto India’s Brand Director, Peter Janeba, confirmed this timeline during the global unveiling of the new Kylaq subcompact SUV.
Here’s what to expect in Skoda Kodiaq
The Indian variant of the new Kodiaq is expected to come as a spacious seven-seater, featuring high-end upgrades like a 10-inch Virtual Cockpit, a 13-inch touchscreen infotainment system, and a head-up display. The SUV also relocates the gear selector behind the steering wheel, creating more cabin space.
Other standout features include massage seats, four USB-C ports, a 14-speaker Canton sound system, and a 15-watt wireless charging box for two smartphones. Equipped with Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) for enhanced safety, the Kodiaq promises a luxurious and tech-forward experience for Indian SUV enthusiasts.
The new Skoda Kodiaq will be powered by a 2.0-litre turbo petrol TSI engine that produces 188 bhp and 320 Nm of peak torque, combined with a 7-speed DSG automatic transmission. The SUV is built on the MQB EVO platform.
