Maruti Suzuki launched the new-generation Dzire in India in November 2024, with prices starting at ₹6.79 lakh (ex-showroom). As per the Carwale report, the updated sub-four-metre sedan has quickly captured the market’s attention, boasting 20,000 open bookings as of January. In December alone, Maruti sold an impressive 10,709 units of the model.
The Dzire is available in four variants: LXi, VXi, ZXi, and ZXi+. Among these, the premium ZXi and ZXi+ variants have proven immensely popular, accounting for 37% of the total demand. Buyers can also choose from seven vibrant colors, enhancing the sedan’s appeal.
A key highlight is the new Dzire’s safety credentials—it is Maruti’s first car to achieve a five-star rating in the Global NCAP crash tests, setting a benchmark for safety in its segment.
Under the hood, the Dzire houses a 1.2-litre Z-Series petrol engine that delivers 80bhp and 112Nm of torque. A CNG variant is also available, offering 68bhp and 102Nm of torque. Transmission options include a five-speed manual and an AGS (AMT) unit, catering to a wide range of driving preferences.
