MG Motor has introduced the Comet EV Blackstorm Edition, marking it as the fourth special edition model after the Gloster, Hector, and Astor. This all-black variant sits atop the Comet’s lineup, boasting a sleek design and enhanced styling elements.

The MG Comet EV Blackstorm is priced at Rs 7.8 lakh (ex-showroom), excluding a battery rental fee of Rs 2.5 per kilometre. The standard MG Comet lineup is priced between Rs 4.99 lakh and Rs 7.66 lakh (ex-showroom) with the battery rental. If purchased as a whole, the price ranges between Rs 6.99 lakh and Rs 9.64 lakh (ex-showroom).
MG Comet EV Blackstorm Features
Staying true to its Blackstorm name, the new edition flaunts an all-black Starry Black theme with red accents. The Morris Garages lettering on the front gets a red touch, complemented by red fog lamp surrounds and skid plate highlights. Silver detailing on the headlights and LED strip adds contrast. Black alloy wheels with red outlines and sporty body cladding enhance its aggressive appeal.
Inside, the cabin blends black leatherette upholstery with red stitching, while beige accents remain on the dashboard and door panels. A unique Blackstorm edition embossing appears on the front seat headrests. The feature list includes a 10.25-inch dual-screen setup, wireless Android Auto & Apple CarPlay, connected car tech, and LED headlights. The Blackstorm Edition exclusively offers a four-speaker sound system.
The safety suite remains unchanged, featuring dual airbags, ABS with EBD, ESP, TPMS, a rearview camera, rear parking sensors, and hill-hold assist. Powering the EV is a 17.3 kWh battery with a 230 km range, producing 42 PS and 110 Nm torque.
