MG Motor India is gearing up for the launch of the facelifted version of its flagship SUV, the MG Gloster, which is expected to hit Indian roads either by the end of this year or early next year. Since its debut in 2020, the Gloster has been a prominent player in the full-size SUV segment, offering advanced features like ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System). With new updates on the horizon, the facelifted Gloster aims to elevate its appeal further.

Recent spy shots have given us a glimpse of the major changes MG has planned for the updated Gloster. Here’s what to expect from the upcoming model:

1. Bold Front-End Redesign

The most noticeable change in the facelifted Gloster will be at the front, where the design will align with the global version. The split headlamp setup is one of the most striking features. The slim LED Daytime Running Lamps (DRLs) will be positioned above, while the main headlamp units will sit vertically, enhancing the SUV’s visual appeal. Additionally, the larger grille will further bolster the road presence, giving the Gloster a more imposing and modern look.

2. Enhanced Side Profile

On the sides, the facelifted Gloster will feature new alloy wheels that add to its premium appeal. The SUV will also sport chunky body cladding, which not only enhances its rugged stance but also adds an off-road ready look to the overall design.

3. Refined Rear Design

The rear end of the new Gloster will be equally updated, featuring new LED tail lamps that lend a sleek, contemporary touch to the design. A redesigned rear bumper will also complement the changes, making the Gloster appear more sophisticated and refined.

Competition in the Full-Size SUV Segment

The facelifted MG Gloster is expected to rival some of the best-selling SUVs in the Indian market, including Skoda Kodiaq. Volkswagen Tiguan, Nissan X-Trail, Toyota Fortuner, Hyundai Tucson.
