Mercedes-Benz has officially launched the much-anticipated AMG G63 facelift in India, with prices starting from Rs 3.60 crore (ex-showroom). This latest upgrade of the iconic luxury SUV features subtle cosmetic enhancements, a range of new features, and significant mechanical upgrades.

All G-Class models, including the AMG G63, now feature the cutting-edge MBUX infotainment system, which is also seen in the GLS facelift. This system includes two 12.3-inch screens for the driver’s display and instrumentation, marking the first time the infotainment system has been fully touch-enabled. Key upgrades include wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, offering seamless connectivity for users. The updated model also boasts temperature-controlled cup holders, a wireless mobile charger and a new three-spoke AMG performance steering wheel.

Under the hood, the AMG G63 retains its powerful M177 3,982cc V8 engine, producing 585 horsepower and 850 Nm of torque. However, the facelift introduces 48V mild-hybrid technology, providing an additional 22 horsepower boost. The SUV is equipped with a 9-speed DCT automatic gearbox, which remains unchanged from the outgoing model, and it also features manual shifting via paddle shifters.

On the safety front, Mercedes claims that the new G 63 includes a suite of Advanced Driver Assistance technologies as well as a slew of passive safety tech.
